Food Handling Course

Food safety and food handling course are designed for candidates that need provincially recognized certification for workplaces that prepare, store, serve and display food. We are partnered with the highest quality and lowest priced food safety and handling certification providers in all of Canada. Courses are offered in almost every major municipality in several different languages. Candidates will learn safe and hygienic food preparing techniques and learn proper sanitizing and dish and utensil washing methods.

Proper certification and training is essential to operating a safe and health food serving establishment. Our training providers offer convenient and secure registration that can be completed on-line. Types of Courses:

The following is a list of the various different food safety and food handling courses offered throughout Canada. Each province has its own course and provincial regulations and standards to that course.

  • Food Handling / Handler – Offered in Manitoba and Saskatchewan
  • Food Safety and Handling – Offered throughout Canada
  • FoodSafe Level 1 – Offered in British Columbia
  • FoodSafe Level 2 – Offered in British Columbia
  • Food Safety – Offered in Ontario
  • AHS Food Safety – Offered in Alberta

Certification of Food Handling Course:

Candidates that successfully complete the course and score a minimum grade of 70% on the multiple choice exam will immediately receive a foodsafe, food safety or food handling certificate that meets provincial standards and regulations. This certificate does not have a expiry date and is valid for life. Candidates may be required to re-certify depending on health regulations or health inspector requirements. Some provinces recommend re-certification every 5 years.

Registration:

To register for a course with our training partners select the course of your choosing from the side or main menu. You will be directed to another page in which you can select your location and later the date, time and location of the course. Registration can be conveniently and securely completed through on-line registration systems.

Course Cost:

The cost of the course varies depending on location and province. Basic level food safety and food handling courses cost anywhere from 55 to 80 dollars. All of our training providers offer flat fee’s for courses and do not have any hidden fees. Fees include taxes, certification fees and manual.

Course Length:

The length of a basic food handling course is approximately 8 hours. The course is typically completed within one day, however, our training partners offer these courses in two, four hour days as well.
